Practice and feedback: from explaining to doing
Choose a specific gap, make a checkable attempt and adjust using evidence.
Practice one meaningful change
Explaining deduplication does not mean you can apply it to a new sheet. Keep the task structure and change the input, such as duplicate IDs or missing values. Changing too many conditions at once makes errors harder to diagnose. Later, vary the setting and constraints.
Set the check before the attempt
“Looks good” is not actionable feedback. Name results you can inspect: which records remain, whether totals match a manual check, and which exceptions need a decision. Keep the first attempt before viewing hints or reference results.
Fictional exercise: IDs are A, B, A, C and blank. The task says keep the first occurrence of an ID and flag blanks separately. The result is three identified entities and one unresolved record, not proof of four different people. These are task-specific rules, not universal data-cleaning rules.
Make feedback point to a change
Record who gave the feedback, what evidence supports it and what you will change. If a peer disagrees with a reference answer, inspect assumptions rather than relying on authority. Retest with new input so success is not merely recall of the original item.
Separate performance from assistance
Documentation, hints and AI-generated output can be part of practice; record the assistance honestly. For independent performance, plan a retry with less help. For AI-assisted work, check your ability to verify results, explain key steps and detect errors.
Practice and feedback record
Import lesson four’s retry question and gaps, or enter a task directly. Records stay in this browser, separately by language. There is no automatic grading or reminder service.

Scope
Fineuralab created this example and workflow. Completing the record documents an attempt; it does not certify competence. Check the artifact and subsequent performance.
