Test understanding without the text

Answer independently, then verify and explain revisions.

Reading for understanding · 4/5

Method and limits

Turn the reading question into an explanation, boundary judgment or prediction. Preserve the first answer before locating errors in the text. Change conditions in the next task; one correct response does not establish stable mastery.

Worked teaching case

After reading that events differ from people, assess whether 300 server requests mean 300 readers, then whether 20 loans mean 20 borrowers. Both require identity information.

Judge before reviewing

Review all options
  1. Immediate repetition does not establish retention.
  2. Independent performance in a new context is still needed.
  3. Correct. Record assistance to interpret performance.

Independent attempt and revision

Design a new question from this path. Record the first answer, checking location, revision reason and next uncued task.

Reference and self-check

For example, change occupancy to booking no-shows. Preserve denominator, period and sampling limits, and keep the answer hidden during retry.

AI collaboration and verification

Simulated AI summary: “90% seat occupancy means 90% of residents support longer opening.”

This is a prewritten teaching candidate, not live model output. Judge independently, then check each claim; you may use your own candidate instead.

Checking hint

The candidate generalizes beyond records or conditions. Preserve denominators, assistance or scope from the lesson. Softer wording alone is not verification.
